Five O'Clock Somewhere

Welcome to Five O'Clock Somewhere, where it doesn't matter what time zone you're in; it's five o'clock somewhere. We'll look at rural life, especially as it happens in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, cats, sailing (particularly Etchells racing yachts), and bits of grammar and Victorian poetry.

Catly wisdom

A few words to live by from our local felines:

From Dulce: A good nap is never a waste of time.

From Tres: When in doubt, wash.

From Miss Kitty: When it's raining, the crawlspace under a doublewide is just as good as the crawlspace under a palace.

Assume Miss Kitty has recovered from her great hunt.

I think you wanted me to bring something up north besides the newspapers. ?

I belive Miss Kitty is still feasting on rabbit -- she hasn't been eating many kitty kibbles lately, but somebody's been swiping kibbles and stashing them in the air-conditioning system of El Caballero. I discovered that Friday morning when I started up the car and needed to run the defogger -- the fan made a horrible clattering sound, and then I switched to bi-level, and the kibbles came out the floor ducts. The system still doesn't sound quite right, so there are probably more kibbles in there somewhere.
